Creekside Residential Living Services

The Leaves' Supervised Residential Living Program (Creekside at the Leaves) is a key element in The Leaves' determination to broaden its mission. To assist greater numbers of students of Christian Science to successfully deal with the wider variety of challenges confronting them today.

In the fall of 2005, The Leaves offered short-term accommodations to Christian Scientists stranded or temporarily displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. And shortly thereafter, Love’s Provision, a Dallas based Christian Science residential program located on one floor of another facility closed. These events awakened in our hearts a need to provide a new service to our six state community and thus, our Residential program was conceived.

More significantly, a conviction grew among a number of board members, staff and others closely associated with The Leaves that this organization could and should help meet, on an ongoing basis, the needs of Christian Scientists’ to continue their demonstration of ”home” in a sheltered, structured environment of architecture, services and activities that would:

Outings for our

Residents and Friends

  • Encourage, stimulate and support their quest to continue their study and practice of Christian Science so as to challenge and overcome many aspects of the so-called aging process through spiritual growth, regeneration and healing.

  • Promote normalcy, filled with engaged interest, vigorous and purposeful activity in an atmosphere free of medical intrusion.

  • Be safe, attractive, comfortable and affordable and provide freedom from many of the routine cares involved in maintaining homes completely on their own.

We were led to this conclusion after pondering Mrs. Eddy's writings on the subject of "reformer."
