Kim Johnson  // Development Director

Kim Johnson was led to Christian Science Nursing in the middle of college. It was definitely a calling for her to take the first class at the local Christian Science care facility and she fell in love with it. Kim started work in another career, but just kept missing what she found of the peace and healings at the facility, so went back for the further training to become a fully trained Christian Science Nurse and advertise in the Christian Science Journal. For the last 37 years she has served in many capacities. She has been Director of Christian Science Nursing at a couple facilities, camp Christian Science Nurse, OB Christian Science Nurse, visiting Christian Science Nurse, and has served on The Commission (which accredits Christian Science care facilities worldwide) for many years. Kim is now Development Director at The Leaves and can’t say enough about the healings and getting to be a part of in this wonderful ministry.

Susie West  // Business Manager

Susie is so grateful to use her 30 years of banking experience to serve in the Business Manager capacity for The Leaves.

After graduating from Principia College, Susie packed up her car and made her way to New York City, where she spent 11 years working for Citibank and Marine Midland Bank. She transferred to Dallas and by way of First Interstate Bank, Compass Bank and Bank of Texas, found her way to The Leaves. She has been involved in Christian Science Nursing since 2008.

As a lifelong and devoted Christian Scientist, Susie feels honored to be a part of the Christian Science Nursing Ministry and to further the cause of Christian Science.

Susie married a fellow Principian, Randy West, and they have three boys. Susie also serves as the Treasurer for Third Church in Dallas and the Third Party Payer Committee (TPPC) Coordinator for The Association of Christian Science Nursing (AOCSN).

Leanne DeVey  // Senior Operations Manager

She’s been in this position just over one year and has also served The Leaves in the capacities of Accountant and Financial Manager. Leanne interacts with every department to assist them and help things run smoothly, including helping the Executive Director with special projects and the Development Director with event planning. She wears many hats!

She recently created a system for tracking and reporting lodging accommodations at The Leaves. This helps all the appropriate departments know who’s coming and going, and when and where guests and temporary staff are staying. She’s always looking to make processes more efficient through improved organization and neatness. Leanne loves puzzles and problem solving. The thrill is in finding creative solutions.
