Vision and speech restored
I recently had the opportunity to avail myself of the excellent care at The Leaves. The standard of care was very high. All the Christian Science nurses were very good. Consistently. They gave the best care I could imagine. They’re all so darling. I’d like to recognize the Christian Science nurses especially for showing compassion and Christly love.
There was one darling young Christian Science nurse who had the foresight to tell me about the pull string in the bathroom; that if I was to need assistance, I could pull that for help. Interestingly enough, in the shower, I started to get so hot that I was woozy and I pulled that string. He came right away and helped me. He was not bothered at all, and was so gracious.
I’d like to share my testimony of healing now. Basically, I lost language and the coordinated use of my eyes. My healing was quick and complete - 2 days was all it took, and I was markedly better after the first day of being here. Both my vision and my speech were completely restored.
The significant spiritual idea that helped wake me up to the truth of my ongoing, irrevocable health was a sort of combined phrase from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. “God is love. That is enough.” It got rid of any sense of me needing to do anything. Love was all that was needed and it was already in full operation. I am so grateful for this complete and quick healing, and for the gentle, gracious, protective environment provided by The Leaves.
I’m so grateful to God to have been free so quickly, and to have felt so supported. I love that The Leaves provides an atmosphere in which I could come without having the pressure of the medical influence. It’s so nice to have a place to go where the caregivers agree with the treatment method I want.
I’m so grateful for those who include Christian Science Nursing facilities in their prayers. Each of the patients and staff members is boosted up by that prayerful work, and I could really feel it while I was a patient. My gratitude for that uplifting metaphysical work has crystallized through this experience. Going forward, I’m going to make a more conscious effort to include care facilities and patients in my prayers.
