Healed of severe headache

“One Monday morning, I woke up feeling well, and as usual, began the day by studying the week’s Bible Lesson entitled “Sacrament,” which I found deeply uplifting.

I then headed to work. I’m a Christian Science Nurse and I work at The Leaves. Upon arrival, I started the day well, but soon there was a lie about my health claiming that I was experiencing a seemingly severe headache on the right side of my head. For a moment, I nearly accepted this false suggestion and even considered asking for permission to return back home. I instantly corrected my thought, reminding myself that I am God's child - completely shielded from the apparent lie. I knew that I reflect only good health and all good things, because God is good.

At that point, I noticed an article dated 1954 entitled “The Fable of Brainology” by Helen Wood Bauman. As I prayerfully read the article, I read "As one learns that his concìusness and life are in spirit, that his real identity is incorporeal and hence deathless, and then that his capacities for intelligence are not involved with material conditions, he finds his energies and abilities increasing." I paused my reading and focused on work, while holding this idea in my thought. The healing that followed was complete and immediate.

I am deeply grateful to the Christian Science Publishing Society for providing such uplifting articles for our study, for the Leaves for providing such an uplifting Christian Science atmosphere, and for all the support that enhances our performance and spiritual growth.
