Healed from fear & worry
It has been almost two years now since Dad passed away. It was like a nightmare to me, my mother, and siblings, since it happened at the time that we all needed him most in our lives and depended on him most. Life seemed to be hard to me and our entire family at large. Since I had just graduated the previous year, I thought that I will get a job and support my siblings especially my younger two sisters and brother, but it was all in vain especially in our Country where in most cases, one must have a "godfather" as they say.
After going up and down without success, I had no other option but go back home. I thank God for Christian Science, and especially the 'Leaves' for always sharing wonderful healing articles that have been very helpful to me and also, thanks for Mrs. Eddy, who in her discovery, shed the light on the fact that there cannot be two opposing powers, that God is the only power and unopposed. Though we are all born and grown up as Christian science family by our parents, especially my dad, it was unfortunate that we only attended church during the school holidays and had didn't have deep understanding of Christian Science but just claimed to Mrs. Eddy 's student but lacked practical part of it/demonstrations. I thank God because from the time I embarked on studying Christian Science on a perpetual basis, things started to change in my life. In opening ourselves unprejudicedly to God' s nature we allow God in. In this way our longing desire is divinely molded until everything in us corresponds with the divine nature and we receive God's blessings.
As also the Bible says it clearly in Matthew 6:33, “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." And in Isaiah 43: 1 to -5 the Lord says,(1)But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob , and He formed thee, O Israel, fear not; for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. (2)When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame Kindle upon thee. (3) For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Savior; I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee: (4) Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee ; therefore, will I give men for thee; and people for thy life.(5) Fear not, for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the East, and gather thee from the West;
In this way, I thank God because though I have not yet got a job, my siblings are still continuing with school and we have never lacked anything in our family. For sure, Divine Love has met all the needs of mankind. Mortal mind must get rid of its estimate of the powers that are not ordained from God and attain what our Leader terms as, “the bliss of loving unselfishly, working patiently, and conquering all that is unlike God” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 262:20–23).
In RET: page 28: 9 she says, "Thought must be spiritualized in order to apprehend Spirit. It must become honest, unselfish, and pure , in order to have the least understanding of God in Divine Science." When we do this, we will reap the goodness of God and being at His service. It's my happiness to encourage my fellow youths, to stick to the Truth and never give in to error, and its materialistic thoughts. Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health 254: 19 "But the human self must be evangelized. This task God demands us to accept lovingly today, and to abandon so fast as practical the material, and to work out the spiritual which determines the outward and actual."
Thanks for Christian Science and especially to the Science and Health textbook, for changing my life, thoughts and giving me hope in our Father- Mother God, who changes not and who holds our lives. It's the Science of Christianity separates the chaff from the wheat, and declares God. And through it, I get the strength to go forward, grow spiritually and morally. And Christ Jesus fully demonstrated Divine Science in His victory over death and grave. Jesus' deed was for the enlightenment of men and for the salvation of the whole world from sin, sickness and death. Therefore, we should all know that to infinite, ever present Love, all is Love, and there is no error, no sin, no sickness, nor death.
